Our Kindergartens love writing on clipboards! It enables them to be mobile and participate in scavenger word finds (finding various words posted throughout our classroom) or write words from our ever growing word wall. We just added colours and more sight words to foster early reading.

Our Talent Show
Our Kinders had fun putting on a special talent show for their classmates where they showcase their singing or dancing abilities. It is a wonderful opportunity to create an atmosphere of acceptance by celebrating each child's unique talents. Students clap and cheer for their friends and it is a great activity for fostering positive self esteem.

Baking Cookies
Valentine's Day was celebrated in our class through a variety of activities ranging from decorating cards, handing out Valentine's to friends, reading books about Valentine's Day and baking cookies! A huge thank you to Caleb and Michael's moms who spent the morning with us and were a tremendous help with baking the cookies and making the icing. Our students had a wonderful time and learned about following steps, measurement and turn taking. Once the cookies were ready to decorate, each child had an opportunity to decorate two heart cookies and really let their creativity out as they beautifully decorated their Valentine cookies! What a fun hands-on activity for all!
Shark Inquiries
Our class is in the midst of learning about sharks! We have been asking questions and researching answers together to learn more about the amazing animals. In the following pictures, students are working together to create our hallway display. Working towards a common goal not only fosters students' planning and communication skills, but it also creates a rapport amongst our students by proudly displaying thier hard work to others.
